Past, Present and Future Selves

How my Jogging Journey has completely changed my life.

Hello, everyone, hello!!

Welcome back to another episode of Yeah, I’d Hang Out With Her: The Podcast.

This month, I’m happy to once again bring you a concept I’ve been contemplating deeply, one of time travel, connection with present, past and future and of the power and self-trust I’ve cultivated over the course of my jogging journey.

This chat was inspired by the most recent episode of The Talk Tracks (called: Unraveling Time Travel) which is the second season podcast of The Telepathy Tapes. If you haven’t listened, you’re welcome, it’s beyond wonderful.

I reference an essay I wrote a few years back on the topic so please go check that out too.

Hearts on a String

I can never find the exact quote but at the end of Eat, Pray, Love, Elizabeth Gilbert says that she realizes it was her future self all along that was guiding her to make the decisions to change her life. At the beginning of the story, when she knows she has to make the choice to get a divorce or stay with her husband and is wailing on her bathroom floo…

The idea of a future self being in constant contact with the past, comforting and urging ourselves along, some beautiful, divine connection over the ocean of time. I think about it a lot and hope it resonates with you.

I also chat about the recent women’s retreat I had the absolute honor to cohost with my friend Samantha Gipson. It was a transformative weekend that found me hosting a Human Design workshop, creating booklets for all of the women who attended and, most significantly, cooking for the whole group. Breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days was a giant task I am proud to say I LOVED accomplishing and that changed my life. (Yes, I am compiling it all (menus, recipes, prep and shopping lists) into a PDF document to eventually add to my website shop.)

Mostly, I wanted to talk about my gratitude for my jogging journey and all I’ve learned.

The picture accompanying this podcast is one taken after Alan and I completed a 5 mile jog a few weeks back. Please note my tomato face vs. his perfectly fine complexion…looks like he’d just been on a gentle stroll.

Anyway, here’s a hot picture of us to remind myself you that I’m still a babe.

I hope you are having a lovely spring. Please let me know if this episode hits home with you and thank you for being here.

Sending you so much love, power and presence.

xoxo, Brittany
