I met Liz Layton when we worked together at Ivy’s Bistro in TriBeCa. It was somewhere around 2008, my first job as a server and Liz’s mission to get out of debt after a divorce. A full time TV producer at the time (and still), I couldn’t believe she spent her weekends in the restaurant, it was so cool. Liz has always been a mentor to me. She is truly aging in reverse and has shown me that staying young is really all about mindset and living by your own standards. Stunningly gorgeous and more energetic than her 3 year old son, lol, she’s always taken care of me like a big sister and I love her so dearly.
Liz has an incredibly impressive resume producing shows like, The Daily Show, TLC’s A Baby Story and currently House Hunters International. She’s lived many lives and began her newest chapter when she became a mother three years ago at the age of 50. In case any of you ladies are worried about the chances of getting pregnant as you get older, Liz is a shining example of possibility. We talk a lot about fertility and her IVF journey. Her son, Walker, is a brilliant 3 year old genius and already riding a bike WITHOUT training wheels. Liz and her husband, Mike, now happily reside back in Liz’s hometown in Connecticut.
I know you will love this episode as much as I loved recording it. I feel so incredibly lucky to be able to sit down, chat and share these conversations with you and even more lucky to have such amazing friends. Hope you’re having a great October!

As always, my deepest thanks to Mitch Kenny, for the best theme song in podcast history.
