I love the concept of stealing a thing from the person it is meant for! Itβs interesting to consider the fluidity of things belonging to us only for a time, then they belong to someone else. Or maybe they will belong to us forever. Who is deciding? Is it us or our things or maybe itβs mutual. I can also relate to the warm fuzzy feeling of seeing others enjoy our things. Before I moved away from New Orleans, I had a huge estate sale and sold most of the art and things Iβd accumulated over ten years. I was surprised by how much I loved seeing others love my things. Kind of like seeing a sweet dog go to a good home. π
This is so sweet. I often think about how our things, places we live and frequent, will likely outlive us. Doesn't that show how much a life of their own they have? This time is was so easy for me to part with things because it felt like THEY were ready too. It was such a lovely catharsis, not forcing myself to get rid of anything but instead knowing it had joy to bring to someone else. Thanks for reading!
Itβs a good thing I didnβt drop by for a visit! Your kitchen would have been attacked by my OCD self! It might have been too much for you to handle π€ͺ
Also love the quote about letting go whatβs no longer yours - what is the Kabbalah podcast this was from? Would love to listen. Thank you as always for your posts! Totally going to do a deep clean of a closet thatβs been weighing on me - thank you!
Im obsessed with the way your post are always so nostalgic feeling even when they are present day happenings. Itβs a total vibe. π
What a lovely thing to say, thank you sweet friend!

Completing an organizing feeling is a great feeling.
But why do they call them metro racks? Should've asked your brother and SiL when they had them in their den in FL!
